St. George, Utah - Richard Edwards, 77, passed away November 27, 2017. He was born on September 11, 1940 in Burlington, VT to Kenerson and Martha Edwards. One of three children, Valerie and Carol, the youngest and only son.

When Richard was born doctors told his parents that he probably would not live to see his 50th birthday due to a hole in his heart that put him through two open heart surgeries by the time he was just 19. Richard not only beat the odds but lived his life to the fullest. His dream was to retire early and move to Saint George, Utah. He made that happen and loved every minute he spent here. Richard loved to travel and spend time with his family and friends, loved his grandchildren and spent as much time with them as he could.

Richard is preceded in death by his sister, Valerie of Lakewood, CO. He is survived by his two children: Pamella of Henderson, NV and Denise of Lakewood, CO; current wife, Marlene of Saint George, UT; grandchildren: Kendra of Darian, IL and Christopher of Henderson, NV; and his middle sister, Carol of Aurora, CO.

Richard's wish was to be cremated with ashes scattered in the mountains of Colorado where he made his home for so many years. Richard will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and dear friend.
