Hurricane, UT - Richard (Dick) James Humphries was the fourth son of Nellie Dawn Brooks and Delworth (Buck) Humphries. He was born July 6, 1968 in Boulder City, Nevada and passed away at home in Hurricane on Easter morning, April 4, 2010. Richard passed away from complications from Type 1 Diabetes. He is survived by his parents, Buck and Dawn; and four brothers: Steve (Eva), Brooks (Tina-deceased). Craig (Gayleen), and Ken (Laura). Dick grew up in Las Vegas and has lived in Hurricane for the last 3 ½ years. He was married to Letti Orozco for a short time and they are divorced. Dick was a great uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful artist and potter and a good man. He was a Union Ironworker by trade. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane LDS Heritage Chapel, 1178 South 700 West, Hurricane, Utah. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel, prior to services. Interment will be at the Hurricane City Cemetery.
