Obituary

South Jordan / St. George, Utah – Richard Eugene Underwood passed away peacefully July 24, 2017 to join his sweet wife, Carol, for a beautiful reunion after 19 years. He was born September 12, 1931.
Richard was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a very kind and giving heart and loved helping others. He had a great sense of humor. His life was centered around family and pets.
Richard is survived by his children: Richard (Carla) and Paula Stott; grandchildren: Andrea (Davey) Janzen, Anthony Stott, Neil Terry, Tiffany Stott, Justin Stott, Rick (Rachael) Underwood, Robert (Catherine) Underwood and Tony Stott; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his parents; brothers: Don and Bill; and one great-grandchild. He will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank all the amazing staff at the Legacy House in South Jordan. A special thank you to Anna Evans, RN.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
