Richard Dee Walters, 75, passed away on September 17, 2026, in St. George, Utah.

Born on November 11, 1950, in Murray, Utah, Richard was the son of Roland Dee Walters and Wilma Veon Walters. He was raised in Murray, graduated from Murray High School, and later attended the University of Utah.

Richard spent his entire life in Utah. In the 1980s, he moved from Salt Lake City to St. George, where he met his wife, Nadine, and made his home for the rest of his life. He later established a steel construction business in Las Vegas and commuted between St. George and Las Vegas for many years.

Richard had a curious mind and a deep appreciation for the world around him. He loved sports, especially basketball, and enjoyed the outdoors, road trips, geology, history, and architecture. He was drawn to the stories, landscapes, and structures that connected the present with the past.

Richard is survived by his wife, Nadine; his children, Jane Carr (Jason) and Sam Walters; his sister, Lori Best; and his granddaughters, Elouise and Abigail Carr.

A private family ceremony will be held to honor and remember Richard.

He will be remembered with love and gratitude by his family and all those whose lives he touched.
