St. George, Utah - Rickey Lynn Alexander, 57, beloved son, father, brother and husband, passed away in his home Wednesday, May 30, 2012 of natural causes. He was born July 30, 1954 in San Luis Obispo, California to Harmon Clint and Lelia June Ketchie Alexander. He graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1972.

Rick was a skilled tile setter for 35 years. He made his residence in Santa Maria, California and St. George, Utah. He was known as an avid fisherman, a great basketball player, coach and a legendary tile setter. Rick never missed a chance to attend his childrens and grandchildrens sporting events. He was kind, hard working and loyal.

Rick is survived by his mother, Lelia June Alexander Yarger; brothers: Johnny Clinton (Anne) Alexander and Tommy Ray (Patty) Alexander; sons: Kevin Upton Wright, Clint Robert Alexander and Zachary David Alexander; daughters: Carolyn Augusta Wloszczyna and Charity Elizabeth Hazelton; his wife of 21 years, Karen Alexander; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Harmon Clint Alexander.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George, Utah. Arrangements are entrusted to Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
