Henderson, NV - Robert Louis Grizz Fuller, age 75, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Henderson, Nevada. He was born July 1, 1934 in Syracuse, New York to Reginald Lewis and Hope Wade Rider Fuller. On November 16, 1957 he married Evelyn Alger of Enterprise, Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Robert grew up in New York. As a teenager, he worked on the neighboring farms and dairies to help support his family when his father was unable to work. There he learned to work hard and the value of serving his fellow man. He served our country for four years in the Air Force. He raised his family in Veyo, Utah working as a carpenter and truck driver. He liked to raise a large garden and share his delicious tomatoes. He was known as the unofficial coffee shop mayor of Veyo. After he retired, he toured the country with his wife on their Honda Goldwing Motorcycle. Later they sold their motorcycle and their house and traveled and lived in their motor home. He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. He was very proud of his children and their accomplishments and bragged about them all the time. He will be remembered as someone who liked to tease, have fun and was the first to arrive and last to leave when someone was in need. Survivors include his bride of 52 years, Evelyn; four children: Malinda Sue (David) Yates of Henderson, NV; Ronald Lewis (Tina) of Gresham, WI; Julia Marie Kraft of Henderson, NV; Karl Brian (Rhiannon) Fuller of Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren; three sisters: Elizabeth Jane Riordan of Gilbert, AZ; Marilyn Belle Campbell of Syracuse, NY and Nancy Ann Friot of Taylor, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Myron Fuller. Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Veyo City Cemetery, Veyo, Utah, Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435)673-4221.
