Robert Rulon Horrocks St. George, UT - Robert Rulon Horrocks passed away peacefully on February 26, 2010. He was born April 3, 1932 to Rulon Herbert Horrocks and Gladys Rosina Cheney, and was their only child. After graduation from the University of Utah in 1953, in mechanical engineering, he accepted employment with Shell Oil Company. He moved to the Bay Area in California where he met and married Rhea Grace Barton on June 25, 1956. They were sealed in the Oakland Temple on May 21, 1973. Together they raised four sons and one daughter. Upon completing 40 successful years in his profession, he retired and they moved to St. George, Utah and lived happily ever after! Bob loved his family, his God, and his life in St. George. He served the Lord faithfully, enjoyed golfing, tennis, his model trains, and many other activities. He is survived by his wife Rhea, sons; Bruce (Jenny) Horrocks, Russell Horrocks, Mark (Sarah) Horrocks, Larry Horrocks, daughter; Lesley (Tom) Kelly, twelve grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunset LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 82 N. Dixie Dr., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel, prior to services. Interment will be on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Centerville City Cemetery in Centerville, Utah.
