Robert Guiver Newsome St. George, UT - Robert Guiver Newsome was born December 30, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Byron Walker and Mina Mae Guiver Newsome. Robert died on July 11, 2011 in St. George, Utah. Bob graduated from Granite High and worked at Automotive Utilities for 20 years with his dad. A childhood illness left our Uncle Bob with many challenges throughout his life. Bob moved to the St. George area 20 years ago with his brother Ron who cared for him until he went to live at the Beehive House in Hurricane. Bob is survived by his brother Ronald and Hallie Newsome, nieces: Ramona (Brad) Henderson, Kathy Loveday and nephews: Clifford (Shannon) Newsome and Paul (Joann) Newsome. He has 14 great-nieces and nephews and 14 great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his great-niece Teresa Huggard and great-nephews Michael Newsome and Derick Dobson. Bob was truly loved by his family, he brought so much happiness to our lives. We will miss him always. The family would like to thank the many caregivers who loved and took care of our Uncle Bob over these past years. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, UT. There will also be a visitation on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East in Salt Lake City, UT. with Funeral Services following at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake City, UT.
