St. George, Utah - Robert George Petersen, born on August 7, 1940, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 20, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Robert was first married to Karen Mackey, and together they had five children: Clay, Brett, Jeff, Marni, and Nikki. Later he married Janet Collipriest and gained another daughter, Jennifer.
Robert, along with his wife, Janet, owned and operated Utah Dialysis Lab and Central Valley Kidney Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their dedication to providing exceptional care touched the lives of many in the community.
A proud graduate of the University of Utah, Robert's education laid the foundation for his successful career in healthcare.
Outside his profession, Robert was an avid archery hunter, bird hunter, and a true sportsman. His passion for the outdoors was evident in all he did.
Robert will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his wife, Janet; children: Clayton Petersen (Kike), Jennifer Pfaff, and Jeffery Petersen (Loni); his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and brother, Jim Petersen.
He is preceded in death by his son, Brett Petersen; daughter, Nicole Jensen; and daughter, Marni Petersen. He will also be remembered fondly by his countless friends and colleagues.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Robert's memory.
A celebration of life will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, later this summer.
