St. George, UT – Robert VanderZalm, 76, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2022. He was born on October 9, 1945, in Atlantic City, NJ to James and Catherine Friedel VanderZalm.

Robert served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from the University of Illinois after 28 years.

Robert was preceded in death by his son, Matthew. He leaves behind his wife, Vicki VanderZalm, of almost 50 years together; his daughter, Rebecca (Jim) Mathews; daughter-in-law, Kjersti Emerson; and four grandchildren.

Per Robert's wishes he will be cremated.
