St. George, Utah - Robert Charles Woods, age 83, passed away November 20, 2014. He was born April 25, 1931 in Pengilly, Minnesota to Joseph and Ida Woods. He married Helen Woods in Ogden, Utah on December 18, 1954, sealed in the Los Angeles temple a year later. He was an accomplished real estate broker, both privately and also for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In that capacity, he worked on the acquisition of properties for the Church, including temple and meetinghouse sites both in the United States and abroad. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lucile and Geraldine; and five brothers: Joseph, Donald, Galen, Marvin, and Harold; as well as his parents, and two infant siblings. He is survived by his wife Helen, his children Glen and Colin, his daughters-in-law Wendy and Karen, as well as 8 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to services on Saturday from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary. Interment will be at the Enterprise City Cemetery.
