St George, Utah - Roberta J Champlin, 78, died June 9, 2023, in St George, Utah. She was born March 16, 1945, in Stamford, NY to Caroline and Douglas Mattice.

Roberta married the love of her life, Wallace "Wally" Champlin, in Stamford, NY on December 26, 1964. Roberta lived in upstate New York, moved to Colorado, then Tucson and Las Vegas and settled in St George with Wally after retirement.

Her Catholic religion was very important to her, and she was an active member of the parishes where they lived. Roberta was a dedicated mother and homemaker; she spent many happy years taking care of children. She loved traveling with her family, and they took many summer vacations together.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Wally; daughters: Deb and Cathy; and sister, Nancy Mattice. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and youngest sister, Noreen North.

Roberta was a loving wife and mother and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 11 am at the St George Catholic Church located at 259 West 200 North, St George Utah 84770. The Rosary will be preceding at 10:30 am. Interment of ashes will take place in her hometown.
