Ronald "Ron" Que Baldwin, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, in South Jordan, Utah. Ron was born on April 25, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Adrian Que Baldwin and Wilma Hope Callahan. Although born in Salt Lake City, Utah, he spent his early years with his grandparents in Riverton, Utah, and his youth in Baldwin Park, California. Later in life, he also lived in Ogden, Utah; Buena Park, California; Fullerton, California, and St. George, Utah. From a young age, Ron developed a love for football playing in high school and college. He also enjoyed fishing, roller derby, camping, and showing kindness and service to those around him.
Ron was a dedicated painting contractor, proud owner of Baldwin Painting and Wallcovering. His incredible work ethic and unmatched eye for color were admired by clients and colleagues alike. Ron found joy in guiding the next generation of painters, sharing his craftsmanship while instilling a spirit of integrity. He left behind a lasting legacy of artisans who exemplify his work ethic and skill through their craft
Outside of his professional pursuits, Ron enjoyed oil painting, rock painting, researching his family history, playing fast-pitch softball, making breakfast for loved ones, playing horseshoes and corn hole, cultivating his garden, and attending the temple. Those who knew him will always remember his love, service, bright smile, and unwaveringly positive outlook on life.
Ron is survived by his wife, Rose Lorraine Johnson Baldwin; his children: Victoria Ann Thompson, Kimberly Lyn Daley, Jeffrey Ronald Baldwin, and Kenneth Bryan Baldwin; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his eternal companion, Joyce Alida Ermini Baldwin, and his parents, Adrian and Wilma.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing prior from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 4461 South Country Club Drive, St. George, UT 84790. Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.
Ron's warmth, generosity, and unique spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and boundless love—reminding us each day to appreciate life's precious moments and treat one another with compassion.
