St. George, Utah – Ronald Harrison, 79, passed away January 7, 2023, on his way home from Arizona. He was born January 21, 1943, in Gallop, New Mexico to Edwin and Paula Harrison. He married Judy Kerns on February 8, 1964, in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
Ron grew up in Los Alamos and worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory for 36 years. He loved playing tennis, softball, baseball, and bowling. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and motorcycle riding. He was a Christian man who loved serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ron is survived by his wife, Judy; children: Ken Harrison (fiancé, Jennifer Wisdom) of Utah and Cindy (husband, Paco) Bogue of South Carolina; grandchildren: Jacob Harrison of California, Amanda (husband, Jon) Brodie of California, John M. (husband, Greg) Shand of Virginia, Aubrie Shand of South Carolina, and Salem Shand of Georgia; great-grandchildren: Carson and Houston Beard, Ariella Brodie, Tony Angel Shand and Julep; and sister, Barbara (husband, Marty) of New Mexico.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Paula Harrison, and brother, Eddie Harrison.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Southland Bible Church, 195 East Arrowweed Way, Washington, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, prior to services, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.
