Cedar City, Utah – Ronny Jack Sanders, age 83, passed away on February 22, 2023, in Cedar City, Utah. He was born May 17, 1939, in Durango, Colorado to Raymond Wilson Sanders and Virginia Louise Pokorny. Ron was raised in Long Beach, CA and he graduated from Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, CA.
He married his high school sweetheart, Geraldine Meredith on September 4, 1959, and was sealed for time and eternity in the LDS temple on March 30, 1973.
Ron had a love of cars, helping people, camping, and baseball. Camping was one of his favorite retreats with his family and looked forward to these planned adventures.
Ron worked for Alpha Beta Grocery store for 25 years and the Imperial Irrigation District, along with other side jobs to provide for his family.
He was able to serve a mission with his wife, Geraldine, in the Florida Tampa Mission. Ron was a hard worker, loving father, and husband. After the passing of his first wife, Ron found love again and married Starlene Springer on February 1, 2009, in Kanarraville, Utah.
He is survived by his wife, Starlene; his sister, Mary Louise Hazel; and his children: Debra Lynn Hadden (Craig), Larry Scott Sanders (Colleen), Colleen Sanders Alford (Chris), and Steven Robert Sanders.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Cody, Cassidy, Marin, Chase, Jacqueline, Malachi and Sophia; and one great grandchild, Xochitl; whom he loved dearly and is loved by them all.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Russell Sanders; his wife, Geraldine Meredith Sanders; and grandson, Todd Parker Brown.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 6, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Coal Creek 3 rd Ward Chapel, 290 West 1045 North, Cedar City, Utah. A viewing will also be held on Monday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30p.m. at the church.
Graveside Services will be held in San Jacinto, CA on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., where he will be buried next to his first wife, Geraldine.
