St. George, Utah – Roy Fleming, 98, passed away June 4, 2025. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on December 27, 1926, to Frank and Lottie Fleming.

Roy graduated from Northern Vocational High School in Toronto in 1946. In 1952 he immigrated to the United States. He became a citizen in 1959.

Roy married in 1950 and was a father of three beautiful daughters. He later divorced and in 1980 married Carolyn L Bernecker. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple.

Roy worked in Southern California as an electrician for 30 years and a Special Deputy Inspector for 12 years in heavy construction. He liked St. George, Utah and retired there in 1992.

Roy is survived by his daughters: Robin (Dave) Cull, Denise Keppel and JoAnn (Charlie) Verso; stepchildren: Brian (Anne) Bernecker and Karen (Jerrie) Presley; as well as nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Roy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved his ward family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., with a viewing prior at 12:30 p.m., at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Interment will follow in the St. George City Cemetery located at 600 East Tabernacle Street.
