St. George, Utah - Ruth "Bernice" Wallin Gilmore Tucker passed away November 21, 2011 after a courageous fight from injuries sustained in an auto accident in St. George on October 21, 2011. She was born July 11, 1922 in Tooele, Utah to Alvin and Jennie Wallin.

Bernice married Robert Lee Gilmore in Tooele, Utah on September 1, 1943. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were married for 63 years. Bernice lived a full life raising her family while living in numerous places around the world because of her husbands occupation. She enjoyed homemaking, golf, horseback riding and handiwork. She also loved serving a Member Locator mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. George.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gilmore; her parents; and three of her five siblings. She is survived by her second husband, Floyd Jensen Tucker, whom she married in 2010; her children: Jennie (Errol) Rapp of Houston, TX, Cecil (Richard) McCann of Seattle, WA, Robert Gilmore of Kennewick, WA; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; along with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Floyd Tucker.

The family would like to thank all those who bravely responded at the scene of the accident and to all medical personnel who cared for her until the time of her death.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Morningside LDS 7 ^th Ward Chapel, 879 South River Road, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Monday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Tuesday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Chapel.
