St. George, UT - Our beloved husband, father, brother, son and uncle passed away February 24, 2010. Ryan was born to Marilee Johnson and Bradford Earl MacPherson in Salt Lake City, UT on November 28, 1986. His childhood was spent in Sandy, Utah, where he grew up along side his three brothers. Ryan loved his brothers and his brothers - James, Chris, and Brady loved him. He was very close to his mother, Marilee. He grew up literally walking in his fathers footsteps learning a love for the outdoors, the importance of hard work, service and compassion for others. During his teenage years, Ryan moved with his family to St. George where he graduated from Snow Canyon High School. He was an Eagle Scout, played football, wrestled and participated on the debate team. Ryan grew up to become the ultimate outdoors man. He loved fishing, golfing, camping, hiking, repelling, and riding his dirt bike. Ryan lived a life filled with service and he was happy when he was helping others. He never hesitated to help strangers and people in need. He volunteered and served in many humanitarian projects in Panama and Mexico. Ryans greatest blessing was when he met and married the love of his life, Ashley Turpin. They were married on January 14, 2008. Ashley is in every way his equal. She shares his passion for life and together they lived life to the fullest. Ryan was happiest when Ashley was by his side. She understood him in a way that no one else could and she brought out the best in him. Ryans life was forever changed when Ashley gave birth to Lily Kaitlyn MacPherson on August 25, 2009. Lily quickly became Daddys Little Girl , and she brought a new light into his life. Ryan loved her with all of his heart and will now be her guardian angel. We love you Ryan, you will forever be my hunny! Ryan is survived by his wife, Ashley; daughter, Lily Kaitlyn (6 months); mother, Marilee; brothers: James (Jenessa), Chris (Leah), and Brady (Janelle); a niece and several nephews; and in-laws: Kent, Julie, Travis, and Siera. His father Bradford Earl MacPherson preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunset LDS Stake Center, 82 North Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center, prior to services. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George, Utah.
