Diamond Valley, Utah - After a courageous battle with cancer, Sarah peacefully slipped into the loving arms of Heavenly Father April 17, 2012. Sarah was born February 25, 1987 in Murray, UT to Duane and Carolyn Adams. Sarah had a great love of life. She loved the outdoors, especially time spent with her horses. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her life was guided, and reflected, the values and standards learned at home, in Primary, Relief Society and Young Womens. She never deviated or lowered her standards, setting a high bar for her sisters to reach. She was currently serving as Laurel Advisor and YW Camp Director. Sarah loved, and was beloved by, her young women. Sarah attended school in Tracy, CA and St. George, UT, graduating from Dixie High School in 2005. She attended BYU-Idaho and graduated with a BA Degree in Elementary Education in 2008. She taught Third Grade at Heritage Elementary from 2008-09. Through divine guidance she met the love of her life and eternal companion, Darin Blake Mickelson. They were engaged, then briefly dated, and were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple on November 6, 2010. She survived by her husband, Darin Mickelson; parents, Duane & Carolyn Adams; sisters, Rachel Adams & Julie Carpenter (Torry); grandmas, Marian Austin & Gladys Adams; Darin's parents, Blake & Sharon Mickelson; brother, Kevin (Erin); sisters, Melaina Sweetwood (Josh), Carrie Bigelow (Shawn), Shelly Plum (Tim); & many aunts, uncles & cousins. She was preceded in death by; grandpas, Gene Austin & Charles Adams; cousins, Jared Mauchley & Tyler Adams. For their loving care, we wish to thank Huntsman Cancer Hospital, Dixie Reg. IV Therapy, and Dr. Joseph Te's office. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Diamond Valley LDS Chapel, 1784 West Diamond Valley Dr., Diamond Valley, UT. Visitations will be held on Friday, April 20, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, UT and on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George, UT. under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
