Ivins, Utah – Shane Ray Davis, loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandpa passed away May 8, 2023, in St. George, Utah at the age of 52. Shane was born in Perry, Dallas County, Iowa to Alonna Jean Coleman Eggen and Donald Eugene Davis on April 9, 1971. He was the fourth of five brothers (Mark, Robert, Mathew, Shane, and Jason). Growing up he spent 18 years in Cedar City, Utah but every summer, from the age of 10, he would travel to Iowa to spend time with his grandpa, Uncle Denny, and his favorite cousin Terry. He attended high school in Cedar City, Utah.
Shane had a love for life and followed his heart wherever it would take him, whether it was a dirt road, music, mountains, hunting, or the love of his life Brenda Perkins. After a year of dating Shane and Brenda were married on February 16,1991. They were blessed with four amazing children: Rebecca C. Davis, Austin S Davis, Brandon T Davis, and Stefani R Davis. They were married for time and all eternity in the St. George Temple on June 26, 2004. Shane worked hard to provide for his growing family. He became a first-time grandpa in 2007 to Marcus T Davis and then later to Sydnee Parra, Katerina Davis, Xander Parra, Liam Parra, Killian Hall and Klyde Davis.
Shane is survived by his beautiful wife of 32 years, Brenda Perkins Davis; his loving kids: Rebecca C. (Albert Nunez) Davis, Austin S. (Aubree) Davis, Brandon T. Davis, Stefani R. (Brent Henderson.); mother-in-law, Nila Perkins; father, Donald Eugne Davis; brothers: Mark (Alayne) Davis, Robert (Jennifer) Davis, and Jason (Daniel Keith Anderson) Davis; grandchildren: Marcus T Davis, Sydnee Parra, Xander J. Parra, Killiam Hall, Liam Parra, Katerina Davis and Klyde Davis.
Shane is preceded in death by his mother, Alonna Jean (Coleman) Eggen; father-in-law, Gerold H. "Jerry" Perkins; grandparents: Delmar Russell and Elma Peterson Davis, Marvin Marion and Beverly Jean Davis Coleman; and infant sibling, Mathew Davis.
The family would like to thank Intermountain St. George Regional Hospital ICU and Thoracic team, the emergency responders, and emergency room staff for all their care and kindness they provided.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Red Cliffs 2 nd Ward Chapel, 625 East Center Street, Ivins, Utah. A visitation will be held Tuesday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Ivins City Cemetery located at 200 West 400 North.
