IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharleen
Rodgers
March 29, 1937 – November 12, 2009
Sharleen grew up in the Long Beach, California area where she attended High School. Her friends from high school became lifelong friends. She kept in touch with many of those friends on a weekly basis.
Sharleen had several loves in life: Friendship being the most important. Those who came to know her became her friend. She greeted each with a warm smile and a loving embrace. She stayed close to her mother and enjoyed spending time with her. Collecting elephants and fine glassware were just some of the things that kept her busy. She and Jerry enjoyed traveling in their 5 th wheel, and trips to Hawaii.
Sharleen worked many jobs in her life, the ones she liked best were those that had to do with people. She worked for Desert Book Store and many different retail stores. Books were a big part of her life, finding great joy in reading both fiction and non-fiction alike. Throughout her life she loved and appreciated music and singing, participating in various choirs. She spent her life living in California, Nevada, Oregon, and now Utah. She moved to Ivins to be close to her son, Skip, his wife, Larene, grandson, Alan, and his wife, Cherika. She also loved spending time with The Oliver Family. They took her in as Grandma and are family in all ways that are good.
Sharleen remained active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints sering in many positions. She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
