Carson City, NV - Shirley Hansen, our wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Carson City, Nevada on Sunday June 19, 2022.

Shirley was born May 3, 1928, in Goshen, Idaho at her family farm. She said, "time was forever" and spent her youth adventuring, working, and learning on the family farm. After High School graduation she worked hard doing various jobs until she had saved enough money for a bus fare to Salt Lake City and enrolled at LDS Business College.

Shirley was entrusted with three special spirits: daughter, JorJan M. McVay and two sons, R. Brent Hansen and Norman J. Hansen. Her children were everything to her! Shirley was a member of and served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout her life she had many spiritual and inspirational happenings. She loved her Heavenly Father and brother, Jesus Christ.

Shirley is preceded in death by her mother, Vera Maude Rose; father, Norman Olin Hansen; sister, Elna Ihler; daughter, JorJan M. Mcvay; and granddaughter, Adrienne Michelle Hawkins. She is survived by her two sons: R. Brent Hansen (Phyllis) and Norman J. Hansen (Jodie); five grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022, 10:00 a.m. in the Padre Canyon meetinghouse located at 625 East Center Street in Ivins, Utah. Interment will immediately follow at the Ivins City Cemetery located at 460 N. 200 W. Street, Ivins, Utah.
