St. George, Utah - Shirley Ann Watern went home to be with her Heavenly Father April 1, 2011. She was born May 29, 1937 in Wesley, Massachusetts to Harold Frank Albee and Louise Sumner. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved stepmother, Beulah Albee; siblings: Frank Albee, Helen Clary, Priscilla Albee and Donna Jean Albee. Shirley is survived by her brother, John Albee; seven children: Steven Watern, Donald Watern II, Julie Snook, Diane Watern, Kathleen Rose, Mike Watern and Joseph Weitz; sixteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Shirley was raised in Dayton, Ohio and attended Kaiser High School. She was married and resided in Kettering, Ohio where she raised her family. She will be remembered for her selfless devotion to her children and grandchildren. She will forever remain in our hearts. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
