Stanley Robert Crane passed away of complications from leukemia July 26, 2009 in St George, Utah. He was born in Salina, Utah March 27, 1930 to Lincoln Crane and Ruth Gates. He married LaJuana Madsen from Salina, later divorced, with whom he had five daughters. He married Janise Rhodes Taylor, July 5th, 1980. Stan leaves his loving wife, Janise, of 29 years; and his children Stanna Guffey (Patrick), Yvette Evans, Tracy Taylor (Rodney), Julie Roy (James), and Karla Crane, also two step-children , Teresa Taylor, and Russ Taylor (Joan), 15 Grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents and sister Phyllis Powell. Stan was a very loving father and husband. He grew up farming but later moved to Salt Lake County and worked as a machinist/welder for Eimco before retiring to Toquerville, Utah. He was amazingly talented, working and creating with his hands. Stan will always be remembered as the hard working but loving gentle giant. His ready smile and humorous quips were frequent expressions of his charm. Per his request, no formal funeral is planned. In a private family memorial, his ashes will be spread over his beloved Gooseberry Mountain, where he spent joyous and precious moments with his loving wife, family, and friends.
