St. George Utah - Stephen made his way into the world October 29th, 1960, at Cottonwood Hospital. As a boy he was raised by his parents Anna Dee and Royce Larry McKee growing up in Sandy City and Holladay, Utah.

Steve grew up being a big brother to Dave (Carla), Laurie (Scott), and Sherry whom he loved dearly. After graduating high school, Steve married Denice Brower on May 9th, 1981, having 5 kids of their own: his only daughter Amanda (Junior), and his four sons Chad (Jen), Jason (Chelsea), Derek, and Dillon. His kids gave him nine wonderful grandchildren. Taylore, Kambrie, Ethan, Emalee, Eryk, Kaiden, Brooklynn, Rylie, and Jaxon. He later remarried to Annette Geib whom he spent many years with as well.

Steve had a love for rock music and old classic cars. Especially, the glorious green 69' Mustang he had and cherished as a young adult. Throughout his life, Steve always enjoyed being outside and spent a lot of his time working in the garage and in the yard. You always found him with a tool in hand, staying busy working on many different projects or repairs. Steve's son, Jason liked sneaking into his dad's work lunch box because he knew he could always find red licorice and Granny B's pink sugar cookies.

Additionally, Steve loved coffee and always seemed to have his mug full and in hand.  Although Steve will be remembered as one of the hardest workers you have ever met, he also enjoyed relaxing and spending time watching movies as well. A hobby that would be remembered and carried on by Steve's son, Derek, to this day. Attending and watching the kids during their sporting events and taking the time to go watch Dillon race out in Mesquite Nevada will always be remembered.  Many who you talk to will tell you that Steve gave the best meaningful hugs and those are going to be missed immensely.

Among living in parts of Salt Lake, Southern Utah, and Arizona, Steve finished his journey in St. George, Utah, passing away 12/15/2023 at the St. George Regional Hospital. Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents Roy and Thelma Clark, Herald, and Pearl McKee, as well as two of his grandchildren Kaiden and Brooklynn McKee.

A special thank you Dave and Carla McKee, who will be holding a small gathering immediately after the services to celebrate Steve's life. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Sandy City Cemetery located at 700 E. 9000 S. Sandy UT 84070.
