Stephen Young
Perkins
December 22, 1934 – August 28, 2024
Hurricane, Utah – Stephen Young Perkins of Hurricane Utah gained his wings and joined our Heavenly Father on August 28, 2024, at the age of 89. Steve married Anna Belle Holliday on October 1, 1958, in the Logan Temple.
Steve was a cowboy from the start, growing up ranching until he left for his mission spreading the Lord's word as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After he returned, he met and married his sweetheart before leaving for the Army where he was honorably discharged after 18 months. Later in life Steve attended Brigham Young University where he found his true calling in education, graduating with Honors. He taught 4th to 6th grade throughout his teaching career. He returned to Brigham Young University to earn his master's degree in education. Steve retired from teaching after many fulfilling years in the classroom. Steve and Ann moved down south to Kanab, Utah before landing in their forever home in Hurricane, Utah away from the snow, where he lived happily ever after with his Suzy (Ann).
Steve is survived by his loving wife Ann, Children: Connie Perkins, Donna Perkins, Russell Steve Perkins (Mary Jane), Amber Perkins Allen (Randy), Sister Erline Perkins Frost who is 3 years older, and the last surviving sibling. Steve was also Papa to 7 grandchildren named: Garrett, Heather, Scott, Zandon, Jade, Ridge, Rylee and Papa G to 11 amazing great-grandchildren. Steve had the great honor of baptizing not only his wife Ann but also blessing and baptizing all his children and grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held September 7, 2024, at 2:00 at the Hurricane Cemetery 225 E. 600 N, Hurricane, UT. 84737
In lieu of flowers, please leave a memory you have of Steve and be sure to cheer on his beloved Cougars this football season. "Go, Cougs"
Some of Steve's final words were "I have a great family and I've had a good life".
