Obituary

Stephen Ray Vaughn, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2026. He was born on September 10, 1985, in Cedar City, Utah, to Bonnie and Thomas Vaughn.

Stephen was raised in Hurricane, Utah, where he grew up alongside his siblings, Randy and Heidi. He attended Hurricane High School and formed many lasting friendships.

Stephen pursued a career in the culinary field, following his passion for cooking. He worked at several restaurants in Springdale, Utah, where he took pride in his work and enjoyed serving others.

He shared an especially close bond with his mother, Bonnie, who was his best friend and lifelong companion. Their relationship was one of deep love and devotion.

At the age of 19, Stephen was blessed with one of the greatest joys of his life-his beautiful daughter, Alana. Becoming her dad was something that mattered deeply to him, and she was always a part of his heart

Stephen enjoyed camping, playing video games, listening to music, spending time outdoors, and being with friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart, love of family, and the meaningful connections he made throughout his life.

He is survived by his Daughter, Alana; his mother, Bonnie Vaughn his father, Thomas Ray Vaughn ; his Brother, Randy Lewis, Sister Heidi Carrell; and extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at the Hurricane LDS 9th Ward Chapel, 274 South 100 West, Hurricane, Utah. A visitation will be held on Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery, Hurricane, Utah.
