St. George, Utah –

Sue Ellen Barney, 57, returned to our Father in Heaven on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

Sue was born May 16, 1959 in Springfield, Illinois and spent her childhood in the Catham Springfield area. She married Tim Barney in 1983. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Dixie State College and worked for the Washington County School District.

Sue is survived by her husband, Tim; children: Tisha, Trent (Shaylei), Trever and Shaylee; grandchildren: Evangeline and Katherine Wilson; father, Richard Emery; siblings: Mike (Jolene), Steve, James (Valerie), Mark (Tina) Emery and many other relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Norma Kvitkauskas and stepfather, Walt Kvitkauskas

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Bloomington LDS Stake Center, 200 West Brigham Road, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will take place Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Escalante Cemetery, Escalante, Utah.
