Susan Anne Williams
Our beautiful, sweet sister “Susie-Q” departed for her next great adventure on April 9, 2026. Susan was born on June 18, 1943, to Ida Marianne Cowie and Edward Earle Williams. Sadly, Susan’s Father died in WWII before she reached the age of two. Mom remarried (Stanford Wootton) in 1945 when Susan was still young. Together, Mom and Dad made sure that Susan was always well cared for as she became a part of a growing family of nine.
While just a baby, Susan suffered a severe allergic drug reaction which caused mild cognitive challenges for her throughout her life. These challenges never held Susan back from having a full and wonderful life. She loved bowling, participating in the Special Olympics, socializing, family gatherings, traveling, and being creative. No one was better at word search puzzles than Susie! Susan loved being with her brothers and sisters. She was the first to wag her finger at you if you did something wrong, and the first to forgive you and give you a big hug and a smile “just because”. Susan was sweet, loving, funny, and feisty. She was everything. She and Mom had a sweet and very special relationship that lasted their entire lives. While she didn’t marry Perry Mason as she had planned, she led a full and beautiful life and brought joy to any room she entered. We will miss her always and cherish her memory.
Our most sincere thanks and gratitude to TURN Community Services for their incredible care, compassion, and support of Susan for over 40 years. Her life was better for the relationships and love she received from everyone at TURN and those who knew Susan in the community. Our lives were so much richer for having Susan as our sister.
We love you, our sweet Susie, and wish you a magical journey filled with butterflies, furry babies, and love.
Susan is survived by her sisters: Lynne Romney (Steven), Pam Neumann, Kim Walker (Kent) and Brothers Randy Wootton (Carolyn), Tracey Wootton (Cindee), Jay Wootton (Kaylani) and Stan [Tawny] Wootton (Paul Canning).
