St. George, UT - Tanner James Holt, 23, returned to the arms of his Heavenly Father May 26, 2012 in St. George, Utah. He was born June 26, 1988 in St. George, Utah to Brad and Diane Holt.
Tanner was raised in St. George, Utah where he graduated from Pine View High School. He was currently living in Orem, Utah where he attended UVU, just finishing his bachelor degree.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, attending the Provo 20th Ward.
He loved hunting, fishing and anything else that allowed him to be outdoors. He had a passion for flying and started at a young age. He started his professional pilot career in 2008 for Comair. After being furloughed he immediately went to work for GoJet, a United Carrier.
Tanner is loved by all who know him. He was a friend to everyone and lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by friends and family but has a greater mission to fulfill.
Tanner is survived by his parents Brad and Diane Holt of Fayetteville, Ga; sister, Nicole Holt Goulding (Dusky Reed Goulding; nieces, Kaia, Sienna and Eja); brother, Zach B. Holt (Tasha Raymer Holt; nephew, Kyden Z. Holt) and sister, Naomi Holt. he is also survived by grandparents James and LaRene Barney of Hurricane, UT and Alice Holt-Burgess of St. George, UT.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington Fields LDS Stake Center, 1450 South 3000 East, St. George, Utah. A welcome reception will be held in his honor Thursday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Friday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will be held at the Hurricane City Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
