St. George, UT - Terrell "Terry" Wayne Spears, 81, of St. George UT, passed away on June 11, 2012, from bladder cancer.

Terry served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He attended San Bernardino Valley College, Cal State San Bernardino, and received his MBA from Southern Illinois University. He was Chief Financial Officer for San Bernardino Valley College, Vice President for Business for College of the Desert in Palm Desert, and then finished his career as the Vice President for Business at Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga. After retiring in 1989, he started his own consulting firm.

Terry spent 38 years with his loving wife, Sally. He was blessed with a wonderful daughter, Terri Lynn Arthur (Kris), and a son, Gary Wayne Spears, along with four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Terry enjoyed golf and later duplicate bridge at Bloomington Country Club. He also enjoyed an "occasional" trip to Mesquite where he honed his poker skills. He will be remembered for his quiet intelligence and gentle spirit. It has been said that he was a true "gentle man".
