St. George, Utah - Terry Leon Benge passed away July 1, 2011. He was born November 12, 1954 in California. He loved the beach and the Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, Pour some sugar by Def Leppard, Anything for love by Meatloaf, and Living on the edge by Aerosmith. His greatest pride and joy was his daughter, Jenahsea, whom he adored and provided dance and everything to enrich her education and life. The two of them enjoyed grabbing Panda and watching movies, visiting, and enjoying each others company. She was his princess and he her hero, now he will always get to see her dance. Terry loved sports, the Raiders ( Rams dropped lol) the Kings, the Angels and, of course, the Lakers. Fall was his favorite time of year, he couldnt wait for the leaves to change. He has a foster child and another which he provided for since she was six. We found numerous cards and letters from her thanking him for gifts, shoes, food and school supplies. He was an intelligent man and great with logic and numbers , stubborn, but knew how to laugh. His heart was so big and he was a best friend to many. Terry took his mother to doctor appointments , hair appointments and brought her dinner once a week for the last 7 years. He was a loving son. His cats - what can be said - he adored them. Punky passed last year and he was heart broken, leaving Butthead and Orphie (aka orphan or big fat fur ball). He cooked for them and they had nearly as many toys as Jenahsea. This past year he suffered health problems and went quietly home in his sleep to live with his father in heaven. We love him so very much and he will be missed sooooooo much, we like to believe he is now our guardian angel. Rest in peace. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A family dinner will follow services.
