– Thomas Eldon Lee was born September 20, 1945 to Nolan Doyle Lee and Hazel Kathleen Blazzard in St. George, Utah. He was the sixth of twelve children. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many callings, including a Counselor in a Bishopric, High Priest Group Leader, and Ward Clerk.
He worked as a chef, plasterer, and created decorative rock. He loved the outdoors, his family, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
After graduation from Dixie High School, he served a mission in Montreal, Canada. He also served his country in Vietnam. Upon return to the states he was stationed in Michigan where he met Peggy Noreene Morris. They fell in love and were married on July 11, 1969 in the St. George, Utah LDS Temple. They were blessed with seven children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
After a battle with debilitating health problems due to dementia, Tom passed away December 30, 2018 at the age of 73 years at Bella Terra Rehabilitation in St George. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his children: Christina (Devrin) Gubler, Amy (Shaun) Dyreng, Sheri (Scott) Dyreng, Jason (VaLon), Aaron (Jen), and Daniel (Flor); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brothers and sisters: Joanne Green, Maureen Warren, Nancy, Laura (Gil) Hoffman, Mel, Richard (Janet), and Jerry (Katherine). He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel Kathleen Blazzard and Nolan Doyle Lee; his daughter, Amber Lee; and his siblings: Doyle (Maria), Donna (Jack) Houx, Ivan, and Kenneth.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane 7th Ward Chapel, 155 East 1050 North, Hurricane, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
