In Loving Memory of My Beloved Husband
Washington, Utah — Tyrone M. Tuinei (JR), age 42, peacefully entered eternal rest on October 8, 2026, surrounded by his family.
JR was born on February 19, 1984, in Pago Pago, American Samoa, to Tyrone A. Tuinei and the late Faafetai Patea-Tuinei.
JR shared twenty-two cherished years with his beloved wife, Faaoo Tuinei. He was her best friend, partner, and source of strength through life’s joys and challenges. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, compassion, comfort, and treasured memories.
JR was a devoted father whose children were his greatest pride and joy. He worked hard to provide for them and dreamed of seeing them become the remarkable people he knew they could be. Patient and protective, he celebrated their milestones, encouraged them through difficulties, and made sure they knew how deeply they were loved. Though their time together was far too brief, his example, values, and love will remain in their hearts forever.
JR was a cherished son, brother, and friend who will be remembered for his warm smile, sense of humor, generosity, and strong work ethic. His pastoral calling was an important part of his life. As he prepared for ordination, he sought to serve others with compassion, humility, and faith. Through his ministry and everyday interactions, he welcomed people, cared for those in need, and offered comfort and encouragement to family, friends, and members of his community. He was also a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Golden State Warriors.
He is survived by his wife, Faaoo; his beloved children, Dee Dee, Tovia, Titus, and Otila; and his siblings, Leilani Tuinei, Salaivai Tauala, Flo Tuinei-Niukini, Mathew Tuinei, and Laupama Aloese.
Although our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every moment we shared with him. His life was a gift, his love a blessing, and his memory will always be treasured.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
