Enterprise, UT - Vada Caroline Evans Terry, age 95, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2012, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born February 11, 1917, in Shauntie, UT to Carrie Osborne and John Calvin Evans. She married Athna Hunt Terry on November 9, 1934 in Parowan, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple on June 14, 1956.

When they married, dad took his new bride to Enterprise where they made their home except for a short period of time when they lived in Modena, UT.

She worked 28 years in Enterprise for California Pacific Utilities as an office manager. She was a wonderful wife, caring mother, and loving grandmother. She spent many pleasant hours listening to her children and grandchildren, and loved every minute of it. She was a snappy dresser, terrific cook, seamstress, and kept a sparkling clean home where everyone felt welcome. She served faithfully in her ward and stake which included 35 years as the Stake Primary Secretary, and over 50 years as a visiting teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one granddaughter Darla Kaye Butters, a sister, LaRue Watson, and brother, Dell J.Evans. She is survived by her four children:

Dr. DeWayne A. (Larue) Terry of Dammeron Valley, Connie (Loyd) McGlasson of Ark City, KS, Marilyn (Kendall) Banks and Elaine (Sheldon) Banks of Enterprise; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; three brothers: Shirl A. Evans, Tualitin OR, Carl T. (Marjorie) Evans, Summit, UT and Lyle O. (Shirley) Evans, Fillmore and one brother-in-law, Ferren Bunker, Las Vegas, NV.

The children would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Harold and Rose Webb and their family for the loving and exceptional care given over the past five years.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Enterprise LDS Stake Center, 80 South Center Street, Enterprise, Utah. Visitations will be held Thursday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah and on Friday, prior to services, at 11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center.
