Obituary

St. George, UT – Valerie Hall McClean (Gidget), age 64, passed away on November 23, 2016 in Lehi, Utah. She was born on April 25, 1952 in Cedar City, Utah to Deward Leon Hall and Nora Barlocker Hall.
Valerie was raised in Enterprise, Utah where she worked and played on her parents' farm. They moved to Page, Arizona when she was in 5th grade and she graduated from Page High School. She eventually settled in St. George, Utah.
Valerie had a fun-loving, adventurous spirit. She loved Lake Powell, especially waterskiing. She loved to read, tell jokes, and write poems. Singing brought her joy and she was a member of the Keynotes choir for many years. Valerie was a homemaker and raised five children.
Valerie was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was 36 years old and lost her eyesight shortly after. Despite life's challenges she found joy and laughter in life. She genuinely loved people and gave to others even when she had nothing to give. Valerie found strength through her trials by turning to God. She loved serving in any calling she was given as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her children: David (Christie) Bierhaus, Fort Collins, CO; Douglas (Becky) McClean, Phoenix, AZ; Ciara (Herb) Williams, Mesa, AZ; Kelli (Brandon) Eudis, Saratoga Springs, UT; Erin (Kyle) Heuett, Muncie, IN; and grandchildren: Kelson, Nolan, Madi, Jason, Jake, Evan, Aidan, Ashton, Kaelyn, Camden, Sage, Herbie, Nora, Abby, Rees, Drake, Ava, Callie, Hudson, Rowan, Cannon, and Colton; and siblings: Maurine (Clark) Anderson, Leon (Carolee) Hall, Art (Angie) Hall, Burdell (Storme) Hall.
