St. George, UT - Velma Roberta Read passed away March 11, 2010. She was born May 7, 1917 in Cisco, Texas to Walter Raymond and Ethel DuBose Frye. She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Carson Read. She is survived by her son, James Curtis Read and daughter, Sherryl Mitchell. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Visitation will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the mortuary, prior to services. Interment will be at the Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in California.
