Vera Pearce was born on September 29, 1929 to Loyal and Agnes Jones. Vera passed peacefully of natural causes surrounded by her family on September 11, 2015 and is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Vera was born in Danville, IL., then moved to San Diego, CA. in 1959, where she raised 4 children. She worked at Mercy Hospital for 20 years until she retired in 1991. Vera enjoyed playing card games and bingo, being with family and playing with her grandchildren. In 2005, Vera moved to St. George, UT., to be with her children. Vera was a member of Solomon's Porch Foursquare Church. Vera is survived by her children; Garry James Pearce, Terry Lee Pearce, Kimberly Ann Down, Stacy Lynn McMillin and daughter-in-law, Kathryn Jane Pearce, all of St. George. Her sister; Patricia Warren of Danville, IL., 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her son, Michael James Pearce, sisters; Doris Kingery, Norma Sacks, brother; Chris Jones and son-in-law, Arron Dowd. Our family would like to thank Beehive Homes and Alliance Hospice for all their compassion and support. Mommy you will be missed dearly but never forgotten. We love you! A private memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Solomon's Porch.
