Verlynn Button Beal

Verlynn Button Beal, age 84, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026. She was born on November 15, 1941, in La Verkin, Utah, to Grant and Hattie Button.

Verlynn grew up in La Verkin before marrying her beloved husband, Glenn Ray Beal, on April 18, 1959. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the St George LDS temple on September 17, 1981. Together, they built a beautiful life and home in Leeds, Utah, where they shared many wonderful years together.

Verlynn found great joy in the simple beauties of life; she loved nothing more than to read and sit outside watching the hummingbirds. She had an exceptionally kind and compassionate heart, always taking in stray cats and making sure they were loved and cared for. Above all, her life was centered around her family, and she took immense pride in raising her children, being a grandmother, and watching her family grow.

She is survived by her loving children, Lori Beal, Brenda Beal Hall (Karl), Nicole Beal Taylor (Mike Showell), and Kevin Grant Beal (Ashley); her 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a very close and special relationship with her niece, Natalie Holt.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ray Beal; her parents, Grant and Hattie Button; her son, Brent Ray Beal; and her granddaughter, Athena Taylor.

A viewing will be held on October 31, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Leeds LDS Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Leeds Cemetery.

Flowers are welcome, or donations can be made to RSQ animal rescue in Verlynn's honor.
