Ivins, Utah – Vicki Lou McDonald passed away on December 30, 2022, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Vicki was born on August 30, 1947, in Waterloo, IA to Donald and Mary Nolan. She graduated from West High School in 1965 and briefly attended the State College of Iowa (now UNI).
Vicki worked at as a clerk at John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo. On December 21, 1973, she married Craig McDonald. They moved to Livonia, MI where Vicki worked for Kroger and she also found her passion as a fitness consultant.
Vicki loved to travel! She and Craig traveled extensively with the Nomads Travel Club out of Detroit. In 2002, Craig and Vicki retired to Ivins, UT. Vicki greatly enjoyed working as a hiking guide for Green Valley Spa, being a member of a local Red Hats Society, and continuing to travel with her sisters.
Vicki is survived by her husband; sisters: Kathy (Bob) Camarata of Grundy Center, IA and Judy (Glen) Staff of Waverly, IA; daughters: Vicki (Leon) Aden of Iowa City, IA and Mary Scourick of Ivins, UT; son, Scott (Kathryn) McDonald of Waterloo, IA; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at South Mountain Community Church, 3158 East 2000 South, St. George, UT. There will also be a Celebration in Iowa at a later date.
