St. George / Salt Lake City, Utah - Virginia Rentfro passed away May 28, 2012. She was born March 29, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Adolf and Ada Barnes Lindorff.

Virginia served in the Marine Corps during World War II. She played softball on the Shamrocks team from a teen until she married. She golfed, bowled, had many friends and was a very active person. She was sweet, sharp and had a terrific sense of humor. She will be missed by all.

Virginia is survived by her sister, Joanne Carlisle; daughter, Christine (Frank) Snedeger; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rentfro; and three brothers: Douglas, Ken and Ray.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. George City Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
