On October 24, 2022, Wanda Blake Lucas passed away peacefully in her sleep in Boise, Idaho. Wanda was born to Milo and Mary Alena Blake in 1937 in St. George, Utah.

She attended Dixie High, class of 1955, and cherished her days growing up in St. George. She loved telling stories about her adventures with her friends. Wanda loved spending time with her family. Her sisters and brother were some of her favorite people. When the sisters would get together, lots of laughing and shopping would occur. Wanda had a passion for traveling and was able to visit many places in her lifetime with family and friends. One of her greatest joys were her grandchildren. She loved to go visit them and left them with fond memories.

Wanda lived in Las Vegas for most of her adult life. She worked at the Riviera Hotel for 30 years, where she made many close friends over the years. Once she retired, she moved to California to be closer to family. In California, she made some lifelong friends who called themselves the Red Hatters. They met weekly and went on all sorts of adventures together.

Wanda was preceded in death by her daughter, Keri Benson; son-in-law, Charles Benson; grandson, Gary Benson; and her parents and siblings. She is survived by daughter, Julie (Allen) Burk; and son, Robert (Brooke) Lytle. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the St George Cemetery, 600 East Tabernacle Street, St George, Utah. A visitation will be held Thursday prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.at Metcalf Mortuary located at 288 West St. George Blvd.
