Obituary

St. George - Our mother, Wanda Mae Tippets, 87, passed away peacefully on January 29th surrounded by her family. She was born in Elks Point, South Dakota, on July 20, 1925, to Jack and edna Trimble. Her youth was spent in Gray's Lake, Idaho and Kaysville, Utah. She graduated from Davis High School in 1943. She married Lionel Maxwell Tippets in the Logan LDS Temple. They were married for 56 years. They raised their family at Dugway Proving Grounds where she worked many years at that facility. In 1971, they moved to St. George and spent their remaining years.

She worked for the BLM and spent many happy years working for Southern Utah Home Health. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission with Lionel in Jamaica after retiring. She also found great purpose doing Family History. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lionel, and son, Todd.

She is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Jay) Andrus, Jody Fullerton and her sons, Ty (Charise) Tippets, Tracy (Nancy) Tippets, and David (Amy) Tippets. She has 23 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Metcalf Mortuary on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 and Saturday morning from 10:30 until 11:30 at the Little Valley Chapel, 2668 East Crimson Ridge Drive. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in the St. George Cemetery.
