Ivins, Utah
– Wellington Morris "Mo" Trover II, passed away, Saturday, July 29, 2017 in the Southern Utah Veteran's Home in Ivins, Utah. He was born January 23, 1926 in New Castle, Washington, to Ralph Carl and Hazel Ione Syverson Trover. He was in excellent shape his whole life, and passed away at the age of 91 after a brief illness, surrounded by family.
Mo had a beautiful life and was a beautiful and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He and his wife, Iras, blessed this earth with five children, and 35 grand and great-grandchildren during the course of their 68 year marriage. They were married May 20, 1949 and sealed in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple. Mo was a joy and an inspiration to all who knew him.
Mo Trover served his country in the United States Navy. He was active in the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Affairs. He was a board member and President of the Riverton Country Club. He enjoyed gardening, golf, going fishing and reading. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Geology, specializing in minerals. He traveled the world, and together he and his wife served a mission after he retired.
They settled here in St. George, Utah a few years ago after raising their children in Riverton, Wyoming, and loved their time here.
Mo was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and sisters and one beloved son, John Morris Trover. He leaves behind his one true love, his wife, Iras, sons: Mike (Michelle), and Clay (Cindy); daughters: Tera (Randall), Toni (Randy), and Karla (John).
A Celebration of Life gathering for family is scheduled for August 19th in Salt Lake City, Utah. A separate service was held to honor his military service including an Honor Guard, the playing of taps and the presentation of a flag given to his wife, Iras.
