St George, UT - Wendy Lynn Worthen Pickard, and just like that, with a wave of her wand, she was gone. Wendy was called back to her castle in the sky on January 13, 2024.

Born in Salt Lake City to Nug & Jean Worthen on July 24, 1953, she was welcomed into the world with a Pioneer parade fit for a Queen. She graduated from Skyline High School and earned her bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Utah.

She put her degree to great use in her career with the state of Utah, leaving her mark. She hung up her social worker hat in 2006 after retirement.

Wendy loved real estate and everything that comes along with buying and selling a home. Guiding her clients with a gentle touch, and honest to a fault, she thrived in her real estate endeavors. Her clients became her friends and many people returned because of her honesty and integrity.

Wendy married Steve Pickard in 1982 and became a mom to three children that she loved as her own. Several years later they welcomed their daughter Stephanie. The fierce love that she exuded in planning family vacations, birthday celebrations or holiday gatherings was felt deep by those around her. She had an infectious smile and loved to laugh.

Wendy lived in Salt Lake City until 2010, when she and her husband decided to find their place in the sun in St. George, Utah. Wendy had always loved southern Utah and was more than excited to begin their golden years here.

She is preceded in death by her parents, both of whom she loved with all of her heart, her brother-in-law Gene and many beloved friends and pets.

Wendy is survived by her husband of four decades, Steven; her daughters: Stephanie (Kelly), Teresa (Jay); sons: Casey (Kim) & Jesse; her sister, Vicky; and nephews: Trenton & Tyler; her grandchildren: Hailee (Peter), Jake, Ciera, London & Pierce, Draven & Stella; one great grandchild, Lincoln; and her beloved rescue dogs, Charlie & Lola.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ & Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 1295 South 3000 East, St. George Utah, there will be a visitation prior to the services between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
