Washington, Utah - Willard Leavitt Webb passed away February 14, 2011 and returned home to his Heavenly Father and family. He was born October 9, 1931 in St. George, Utah to Arvel Thompson Webb and Vilate Leavitt Webb. He married Patricia Pectol August 6, 1952 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. After Pat passed away, he married Lorna Dalley on January 1, 1999 in Hurricane, Utah. Willard was a kind and loving person who always put others first, his life was dedicated to serving others. He was Fire Chief for the Hurricane Fire Dept. for 19 years and was the Public Works Director for Hurricane City for many years. He also served in the Army during ther Korean War and was stationed in Germany as a mechanic. He learned at an early age to be a hard worker and to always do your best. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of his life, he served in many callings over the years. He had great love and concern for those that he served and served with. He also served a mission with his wife, Lorna, at the St. George Cannery. His hobbies were his family, he loved his siblings, wife, children and grandchildren, they have always been a big part of his life. Willard is survived by his wife, Lorna; children: James Webb, Patty Jo Lybbert and Suzen (James) Stanworth; step-children: Rick (Haven) Wright and Kurt Wright; eight grandchildren: Breck Webb, Michael Webb, Tyler White, Dagan Borup, Rachelle Stanworth, JD Stanworth, Haden Wright and Skyler Wright; six siblings: Mary (Robert) Cox, Eveyln (Val) Jones, Gwen (Dean) Holdaway, Joan (James) Ballard and Dorothy (Mike) Wilcox. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Webb; wife, Patricia Pectol Webb; three brothers: Ralph Webb, Carl Webb and Allen Webb; and his parents, Arvel and Vilate Webb. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington LDS Stake Center, 446 Mangum Road, Washington, Utah. Visitations will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 North Main Street, Hurricane, Utah and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center, prior to services.
