- William "Bill" LeRoy Corbett, 85, returned to his Heavenly Home on March 6, 2018 in Saint George, Utah. Bill was born June 12, 1932 to Ida Ardella Jenson and Daniel James Corbett in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bill was the second youngest "twin" son among four brothers and four sisters: Daniel Otis, Eva Marie, James Edward, Ardella, Bonna Mae, John Alfred (twin), Mary LaRue and Alvin Duane.
Bill graduated from South High in Salt Lake City. After graduation he was accepted into the Air Force in July 1950, where he served for 4 years. The Korean War started right after enlistment where he served as a Radar Tech in Japan. Bill married his sweetheart, Barbara June Smith, September 20, 1956. He served in various capacities in the LDS church and served a mission to Seattle Washington with Barbara. They continued to serve together for several years in the St. George LDS Temple.
Bill is survived by his daughters: Valerie June (Sherral) Winget of Central, Utah; Christine (Brett) Brady of Lehi, Utah; Susan Marie Milliner of Layton, Utah; and son, John William (Delilas) Corbett of Saint George, Utah. He is survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and by his brother, James Corbett and sister, Bonna Cottle. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Barbara June Smith Corbett, and grandson, Jaimen Brady.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to services from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be at the Paris Idaho Cemetery on March 19, 2018.Metcalf Mortuary
