William Seegmiller Albany, OR/St. George, UT - William Garth Seegmiller, age, 91 hung up his spurs and passed from this mortal existence on the morning of his 92nd Christmas. We are going to miss you, you old cowboy; friend, husband, grandfather and father; we love you. Garth was born in Kanab, Utah on July 7, 1918 to William West and Ada Pratt Seegmiller. He served as a Lieutenant in the Army during WWII and the Korean conflict. He served a mission for the LDS Church in Denver, Colorado. He graduated with an English major and Political Science minor from BYU. Garth had a strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the Gospel and loved to serve his many friends and acquaintances. Garth died on Dec. 25, 2009 at home in Albany, Oregon. He is survived by his wife, Florence Porter Neuenschwander; daughters, Mary Gail Haymond, and Patricia Lynn Burton; son William Cary Seegmiller; step-daughter, Alice Neuenschwander Johnson; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. His son, Garth Craig Seegmiller and grandson, Steven Craig Seegmiller preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George LDS 13th Ward Chapel, 166 S. Main St., St. George, Utah. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the chapel, prior to services. Interment will be at the Kanab City Cemetery.
