William Gerald (Jerry) Sharp

William Gerald (Jerry) Sharp 89, died June 5, 2026 at his home in Hurricane, UT. Jerry was born May 20, 1937, in Murray, UT to Dean William Sharp and Vauna Louise Baker Sharp.

Married Carol Anderson Sharp (Divorced) Married Sherlene Walton Sharp (Divorced)

Married Sharon Evans Sharp on December 6,1986 in Elko, NV. Sealed in the St George Temple on July 9, 2016.

Jerry was a member of the Utah National Guard, a very talented brick mason for most of his life and, after he & Sharon moved to Hurricane in 1989, he worked for and retired from Hurricane City. Jerry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints for which he loved doing temple work and being a greeter on Sundays at his ward.

Jerry also loved to fish and make belts and purses out of leather. He taught himself to play guitar and enjoyed playing and singing, with his children joining in or just watching & listening.

He is survived by his children: Diann (Max) Steadman, Dennis (Debbie) Sharp, Kerry Dean (Kari) Sharp, Cindy Sharp, Tammy (Harold) Bradshaw, Wendy Butz, Jamie (Dave) Evans, Julie Howe, Cathy (Brian) Welch, Matt (Lisa) Johnson. Brothers: Leonard Sharp, Kent (Myra) Sharp

Sisters: Carolyn Sharp, Sherrie (Garth) Van Roosendaal, 34 Grandchildren, 56 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon, brother Richard & sisters-in-law Margo and Glenda, sons Mike Albrechtsen & Jason Anderson, son-in-law Shannon Butz and granddaughter Tiffany Miller

Services will be held Friday, June 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at the Hurricane LDS 14th Ward gymnasium, 155 E 1050 N Hurricane, Utah, followed by a luncheon.

Zoom will be available for those who cannot attend

The family would like to thank Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary, Intermountain Hospice, the ward members and neighbors for showing so much love & support to Dad and kindness to us during this difficult time. We never felt alone.
