Hurricane, Utah
– Wilma W Malan, 87, passed away on January 5, 2019 at her home in Hurricane. She was born December 3, 1931 to Dorsey Leonard Perry and Jessie May Davis in Portales, New Mexico. She married Martin William Malan on May 16, 1952 in Pioche, Nevada. They were later sealed in the St. George Temple on January 2, 2003.
Wilma love to crochet, read, do puzzles and walk for exercise. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and for the last 17 years was there to greet everyone with a smile as they entered the building on Sunday.
She is survived by her son, Charles Martin (Mary) Malan of New Castle, UT; and two sisters-in-law: Vickie Silva of Hurricane, UT and Karna Hunter of Cedar City, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin William Malan; daughter, Penny Malan; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane 6th Ward Chapel, 677 South 700 West, Hurricane, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to services from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Enterprise Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
